My main passion is in the custom design side of this diverse industry. As a consultant I am able to recommend whatever I feel is right for the customer, without the constraints of dealership agreements, distance selling contracts or targeted earning schemes.

With over 25 years in technical customer service and more than a decade designing and installing high-end audio, home cinema and smart home systems, I understand how critical a reliable network is in modern homes.

This is usually caused by interference, poor channel selection, or overlapping signals from neighbouring properties. I use structured testing to identify the exact cause and stabilise the network properly.

Often a layout or signal propagation issue — not your broadband speed. I assess signal strength, interference, and device load to determine whether repositioning, wiring, or additional access points are required.

Full fibre doesn’t automatically fix internal network problems. If the infrastructure inside the house isn’t configured correctly, speeds and reliability won’t reflect your broadband package.

IoT devices are sensitive to network configuration. Incorrect band steering, DHCP conflicts, or poorly managed access points often cause instability.

Large homes, thick Victorian walls, and poor router placement frequently create dead zones. I assess whether a structured wired solution or properly configured mesh system is appropriate.
